Faith In Action

Because we are Christ’s hands and feet.

Church Beyond Sunday

Where is God calling You? For many people, being part of a faith community includes serving. Calvary offers ways to use your gifts of time and talent to make a difference in the community and around the world.

Volunteering and serving opportunities include working with Calvary’s Matthew 25 Partners for Change and other local nonprofit partners, as well as our Racial Equity Initiative and Living Sanctuary ministries. The church cultivates community partnerships where others can share their wisdom and guide our ministry.

Sharing Your Gifts of Time & Talent

In our commitment to Christ, we live our faith through service by partnering with 3 local non-profit organizations that share our commitment to furthering justice and equity in our communities.

Donation Opportunity: Adopt-a-family for Raphael House

For more information, stop by the table in Calvin Hall.

How to donate: To help make their holiday bright, you are invited to donate cash or checks (made out to Calvary, note: Raphael House Giving Tree on the memo line). Donations are being collected at the Raphael House Giving Tree on Sundays during coffee hour.
Deacon’s
Pack-A-Sack
& Open Cathedral
Sunday, December 21, 2025 • 11:15am
The best way to follow Jesus is to do as he taught: feed the hungry.
Calvary Deacons & Faith in Action invite you to Calvin Hall where we will pack sack lunches for hungry neighbors.
Later, at 2pm, you are invited to worship with the unhoused congregation at Open Cathedral—an outdoor worship service at Leavenworth & McAllister led by SF Night Ministry. Around 3pm, we’ll help distribute our sack meals, meet new people, and follow Jesus by loving our neighbors.
If you are planning to participate in Pack-a-Sack and meal distribution at Open Cathedral, please sign up for both.

Volunteer opportunity - DONATE BLOOD
Calvary is hosting a blood drive on Sunday, January 11, 2026, from 9am – 12:45pm. Blood donors are vital to life and especially needed right now.
When you give blood, you have the potential to help hospital patients within our community and, when the need arises, others across the country. Donate blood to help trauma patients, as well as those battling disease and other chronic health conditions.
All blood types needed. The blood donation process takes about an hour.
Get ready to save lives with Calvary!
Please register in advance – Click to sign up – blood donors with appointments will be taken before walk-ins.
Questions? Please contact Robin Morjikian at robinmorjikian@calpres.org.
Please note, due to health and safety protocols, only blood donors will be permitted to enter the Bloodmobile; please do not bring non-donor friends and family with you.
