An event every week that begins at 7:30 am on Saturday, repeating until December 18, 2021
Come help organize, fill and carry bags of groceries for 300 families who need food. Volunteer qualifications:
If you or someone you live with is in a high-risk group due to a medical condition, please to stay at home. This may be difficult for those anxious to help out, but it’s best for the entire community.
Before the pandemic, the Interfaith Food Pantry rotated responsibility for each Saturday pantry among the member churches, with each church staffing their distribution from volunteers in their communities. Now Calvary and other local faith-based organizations continue to band together to staff each Saturday with healthy, safe volunteers. We have modified how we organize the distribution to maximize safety for volunteers and participants, and we comply with Health Department guidelines to the extent we can. Please do not volunteer if you feel ill in any way, are in a high-risk group, or need to practice social isolation, as we will not be able to eliminate all risks, but we will do our best to minimize them. Pandemic circumstances are changing quickly; after you sign up, you will be notified by email about any changes to our requirements or procedures.
