Senior Adults—Calvary members and non-members alike—are welcome every Tuesday from September to June at Calvary to enjoy lively fellowship in a convivial atmosphere. Our schedule includes speakers, performers, movies, holiday events, and field trips. Some Tuesdays we serve a hot lunch prepared at Calvary for a modest fee ($2), other days we ask that you bring a brown bag lunch from home, or pick up a sandwich from one of the delis across the street (we provide drinks and dessert). Email Marion Stanton to be included on the newsletter mailing list. firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Day the Music Died
Music historian Dulais Rhys returns with an illustrated lecture about three young pop musicians who died tragically in a plane crash in 1959—an event that was commemorated in Don McLean’s well-known 1971 song ‘American Pie’. We’ll hear the stories and songs of Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and The Big Bopper. Bring a brown bag lunch. Food Bank Tuesday! Special dessert in memory of Emma Edwards.
