An event every day that begins at 9:00 am, repeating until June 12, 2020
We hope that you are all staying healthy and finding community in the midst of this unprecedented time. Unfortunately, I am writing with difficult news. We have made the decision to cancel Calvary City Camp for this summer.
We held off on this decision as long as we could, but we have concluded that holding camp the week of June 8th is no longer feasible given the changing nature of the CDC’s recommendations and the state’s response, etc. Since our camp is mostly run by volunteers we just don’t see a way people can commit to volunteering and receive training in our current situation.
We recognize how disappointing this may be for your family, and we share in that disappointment. We are committed to having a virtual camp experience which will include a daily Bible story, zoom discussion groups, crafts you can download, and more! One of the most encouraging parts of this new camp idea is that children who couldn’t regularly attend camp can now participate! Anyone can attend…and hear God’s good words of grace.
We all want you to know: we miss you and your kids. Calvary City Camp is one of the most meaningful and energetic programs we get to do in Children’s Ministry, and we are as heartbroken as you are that this year will look different. We are greatly looking forward to the time when we can gather in ministry together with your children again.
