Calvary Young Adults Book Group

June 14, 2018 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

All Young Adults in and around San Francisco are invited to join us in reading and discussing The New Jim Crow: Mass Incarceration in the Age of Colorblindness by Michelle Alexander. This important book invites us to consider how mass incarceration continues to uphold the system of Jim Crow segregation, dividing and perpetuating injustices in our country.

Start your summer reading early and join us on Thursday, June 14 at Calvary Presbyterian Church to consider together what we’ve learned and read.

The CYA (Calvary Young Adults) is a fellowship group for those in their 20’s & 30’s. Young adults of all ages, orientations, and stages (married & unmarried, single & unsingle) are welcome! For more information please contact us at Calvarysf.young.adults@gmail.com.
