World Refugee Sunday: The Crisis in Cameroon (Live Zoom Event)

World Refugee Sunday marks the opportunity to raise awareness of the plight of refugees around the world and of the efforts to protect their human rights. Since 2019, Cameroon has topped the list as the most neglected crisis in the world. (Source: Norwegian Refugee Council)

During the Adult Education hour on this year’s World Refugee Sunday, we invite you to learn about the refugee crisis taking place in Cameroon, hear one asylum seeker’s personal story, and learn about ways you can take action to support. Featured speakers include Mathew Gwanfogbe and Valery, New Bridges Presbyterian Church members in Hayward, and Gala King from the Interfaith Movement for Human Integrity (IM4HI). This event is a collaboration between Calvary’s Adult Education and Living Sanctuary teams and IM4HI.
