National Immigrants Day takes place on October 28 this year, a day when we can remember how the United States is a country built by immigrants, many of whom overcame the most challenging obstacles to settle here.
To mark the occasion, please join us for this online screening of three powerful short films created by Working Films for the Stories Beyond Borders project—one that includes scenes of an event hosted by the Living Sanctuary Team at Calvary a few years ago! These documentaries feature real stories of the strength and resilience of immigrants while illustrating ways we can love our neighbors by giving our time, energy, and resources to support those seeking a better life for their families, like many of our ancestors did before us.
Join us on Facebook, YouTube or this page on October 4 at 11:30 am to view the video premiere. If you would like to engage with the presentation, please watch on Facebook or YouTube as that functionality is not available on this page.

Working Films uses documentaries to advance social justice and environmental protection. Recognizing the power of film to inspire, they use documentaries to increase civic engagement and shift culture at the local, state, and national levels. The organization offers funding and in-kind support to underrepresented filmmakers. And they lead conversations and trainings with nonprofits to ensure that nonfiction media is increasingly embraced as a critical resource in their strategies for social change. www.workingfilms.org
