The prophet Isaiah delivered a message to people in exile, where God told them, “Do not remember the former things, or consider the things of old. I am about to do a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?” The resurrection of Jesus was a ‘new thing’, something completely unexpected. We have been in a time of exile too. What comes after the pandemic will not be a return to what was. It will be a new thing. How are we preparing to live into the new things God is, even now, dreaming for us?
The service will include a special blockbuster “virtual choir” version of the “Hallelujah Chorus” from Handel’s Messiah, featuring our wonderful Chancel Choir and a full orchestra, that you won’t want to miss!
