Blessed are they who fear the Lord, who delight in God’s commandments.
Their descendants shall be mighty upon the earth;
the generation of the righteous shall be blessed.
Glory and prosperity shall be in their house; and their justice endures from generation to generation.
A light has risen in the darkness for the upright: one who is merciful, compassionate, and just.
Happy is the one who sympathizes and shares, who chooses their words with discretion:
Because they will not be troubled for eternity; the just one shall be in everlasting remembrance.
They shall not fear evil tidings; their heart is ready to hope in the Lord.
Their heart is strengthened; they shall not be shaken until they look down upon their enemies.
They disperse, they give to the poor; their justice endures from generation to generation. Their horn shall be exalted with honor.
The wicked will see, and be angered; they will gnash with their teeth, and waste away. The desire of the wicked shall perish.
Glory be to the Creator, and to the Christ, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. –Psalm 111
