Outreach Opportunities

There is always an opportunity to volunteer with one of Calvary's outreach missions. For many years, hundreds of Calvary members have participated annually in services such as:

- "Calvary Connects" - a 6-week volunteer mission in which nearly 300 Calvary members and friends volunteer with SF Connect, a city-sponsored service outreach program to the homeless
- Winter Homeless Dinners Program - an interfaith volunteer effort to feed and shelter homeless men during the coldest months of the San Francisco winter.
- Preparing and serving lunch at Martin de Porres, a diverse organization dedicated to feeding the hungry
- Donating to the Annual Coat Drive - a Calvary-led program distributing donated winter coats to various family and youth charities around town
- Contributing to the Family Giving Tree - more than 500 "wish" gifts were purchased for less fortunate children, families and the elderly
- Cleaning up after Hurricane Katrina - an adult mission trip to Mississippi to assist a local Presbyterian Church and surrounding townspeople
- Packing Christmas lunches for the homeless through our friends at Mission de Porres
- Donating to the San Francisco Food Bank - Calvary has a bin in Calvin Hall ready and waiting for food donations year-round
If you would like to volunteer with any of these missions at any time, please don't hesitate to contact us and get involved!
