Calvary has a number of ministries and fellowship
opportunities for children and their parents. Please
contact us at any time for information about any of
the programs below:
Nursery Ministries
Young families seem to be growing faster than any other group at Calvary. Families at Calvary welcomed over 50 new babies into our church just last year!
Nursery care is available every Sunday
from 8:30am - 12:30pm, and for some special events.
We are blessed to have a Nursery staff of seven paid
Caregivers and one Nursery Supervisor. Our Nursery
is also equipped with a pager system.
Our New Baby Welcome Team works to
welcome new babies and provide love and support to
their families. They deliver hot meals, go on stroller
walks, make phone calls and more. If you are expecting
or know someone who is expecting, let us know!
Playgroup
with a Purpose is a group of care providers
and parents of children up to 3 years old, who gather
each week for fellowship, conversation, learning and
support.
The Nursery Mission Team lay ministers
are an important part of Nursery ministries at Calvary.
The Nursery Mission Team is made up of parents and
other church members using their gifts to minister
to families and young children.
Children's Ministries
Children's Meditation Every Sunday at the 8:45am service, children are invited to come forward for a short Children's Meditation. After the meditation children are encouraged to return to their seats with their families or be escorted to the third floor for Children's Choir of childcare.
Children's
Choir takes place every Sunday at 9:00am
on the third floor and is open to any child from Kindergartedn
through 3rd grade. Children have fun singing and laughing
with their friends. The messages children learn through
song stay with them forever and can serve as ever-ready
personal spiritual resources.
Sunday School takes place each Sunday
from 9:45am - 10:45am. It begins with a music time
led by church staff member Dorothy Pett, and choir
member Dick Clark. This time is affectionately known
as "Dorothy and Dick Time." After Dorothy and Dick
Time, children split up into their age-appropriate
Sunday School classes (ages 2-3, Pre-K, K-1st, 2nd/3rd,
and 4th/5th). Children enjoy Bible stories and hands-on
activities taught by a group of more than 20 caring
and dedicated volunteer Sunday School teachers. (Please

session)
The Children's Mission Team, like the
Nursery Ministries, is highly "lay-leader" driven.
Children's Mission Team is a group of lay ministers
working together to organize events and activities
that foster fellowship and spiritual growth.
Throughout the year, the Children's Mission Team sponsors
various special events including the Christmas Pageant,
our annual Easter Egg Hunt, and Vacation
Bible School. |
